Meet Imogen's Chocolaterie
In a cold winter day of January, I met Imogen at her house and studio in Ash, South Somerset (England).

Imogen is a very talented chocolatier. Her chocolates not only look gorgeous but also taste heavenly (the passion fruit truffles are to die for).

Initially Imogen wanted me to just take some product photos to feature on her online shop but with time I came to realized that, more than that, she needed help to build a stronger brand.

I saw that, altough extremely talented and with an amazing product, Imogen was feeling completely lost regarding her brand and she knew that that lost of direction was having a bad impact in her overall business.

So we sat together and I listened. Shortly after I realized that Imogen had a strong vision for her own business but was too focused in comparing herself with her (more experienced) competitors who happened to have a completely different approach from what she actually wanted for her business.

You see, Imogen wanted her chocolates to be associated not only with something tasty but especially with an entire experience.

A break from the daily routine. Relaxing time by the fireplace in a cold winter night. The best companion to a cup of tea while reading a book and listening to the rain outside.

She wanted her chocolates to be seen as an excuse to stop and just be cosy for a few minutes. And that wouldn't be possible if we went with super bright cold colors and an extremely minimalist setups like her competitors where all doing.

And so we built this narrative with autumn colors to bring this sense of coziness and home that Imogen wanted so badly to provide to her customers.

Together we used everyday items to create sets that would incorporate her products while telling a story. I asked Imogen to feature in some photos as well to make her business more human and approachable. After all, she is the creator, there is a human behind the scenes creating these delicious chocolates.

Since then, Imogen has been able to grow her social media following, had many more new customers ordering her chocolates and closed some great partnerships with local vendors that will allow her to keep growing her small business.

Product Photography
One of the goals was also to have some high quality standard photos of her products so she could use in her online storefront which would make it possible for Imogen to use the branded images for her social media in order to connect with potential costumers and then have more clean photos of her products in the online store so people would be able to see the chocolates in detail.
